We recently announced plans to developing a 500MW solar farm in Peñaranda, Nueva Ecija, through our subsidiary Solar Philippines Nueva Ecija Corporation. The project aims to bridge the gap in electricity supply in the Luzon Grid with solar energy.
Phase 1 of its development, with a total capacity of 225MW, is expected to be completed by 2022, followed by the remaining 275MW in the succeeding years. At full build, the plant will displace 565,440 metric tons of CO2 emissions as compared to a conventional coal/gas-fired power plant.
